Wiang Kaen is a district in Chiang Rai Province, covering an area of about 526 square kilometers. It is famously known as the “Land of 3 Peaks and 1 Mountain,” which includes Phu Chifa, Phu Chidaw, Phu Chidueng, and Doi Phatang. In the past, Wiang Kaen was almost unknown to tourists, as it was located 145 kilometers away from Chiang Rai city, and there weren’t many discovered tourist spots at the time.

Trip Information
However, after the increasing popularity of Phu Chidaw, Doi Phatang, and Phu Chidueng, Wiang Kaen began to gain recognition. More and more tourists visit to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the mountains, the sea of mist, and the blooming wild Himalayan cherry blossoms (Prunus cerasoides) in January every year.
